The theme of the competition, “Menu tondo”, invites children to understand which food products are grown under different climate conditions, and explains the implications and effects of our choices when selecting or buying crops.
Children were enthusiastic about this topic and proposed menus that were aligned with local dietary habits.
The exploitation of natural resources was also discussed.
A workshop run by Cristina Gabetti, author of the book, will be created specifically for the first award winners.
